Increasing Sales Part One

Thursday, August 28, 2014 8:01 AM
“Increasing Sales” is a subject that many if not all business owners and salespeople are interested in and they should be. Why is “increasing” so much more important than just “maintaining?”

If you are not increasing you are in fact going backwards. I know that seems like a harsh or foolish statement but think about these next few items:

  • When was the last time there was no real inflation?
  • When was the last time the things you needed in life cost less?
  • When was the last time that you heard of a company throwing a party for lower sales?
  • When was the last time that Wall Street was happy that a company got smaller?

What if we apply this to life in general? Let’s look at this next set of items:

v  If a plant stops growing, what happens to it?
v  If the cells in your body stopped replenishing, what would happen to you?
v  If we stop looking for sources of energy, what will happen?
v  If there were zero population growth, what would happen to your future?

This list can go on and on and don’t think the answers are so simple and clear. These questions were posted to get you to think through how important it is for you to understand that you must increase your sales and you must do it now!

With every tick of the clock that you are not producing you are sliding backwards. Someone somewhere is increasing their sales and unfortunately it could be at your expense. You cannot let up, this must be a focus of yours all of the time.

Now don’t think that I don’t think that you should have time off, time to play and relax. What I am saying is that you need to set up your business, job, whatever in a way that will increase even when you are off relaxing. How is this possible you ask? Tune in to our next post for answers on how to do this.
