Today I would like to share a short message with you about perseverance. You may be thinking something like "yeah, yeah I know, don't give up, don't quit blah blah blah" But perseverance is much more than that.
Follow me here, if you set a goal and don't give up, even the basic rules of statistics say you will eventually reach your goal. After all, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. It may sound silly, but it's a small thing that will serve you well to remember. If something seems too out of reach because it hasn't happened yet, remember that eventually the numbers work out that you will come out on top, provided of course, that you never give up.
Some things will come quickly and others may take a while, but after it happens it doesn't matter how long it took. The above example may seem overly simplified but it's the simple things that we remember and can bring to the front of our minds in times of trouble or despair.
To sum it up, I think the wonderful Zig Ziglar said it best: "The difference between a big shot and a little shot is that a big shot's just a little shot that kept on shooting."
